Oh yes, in a return to the 1980s, SW18 has been named the third 'yuppiest' postcode in London by Lloyds Bank. SW19 in Wimbledon and SW6, Fulham, took first and third spots, with Wimbledon named the most popular spot for Young Urban Professionals in the whole country. Eight of the top ten London postcodes are in the southwest.
The research looked at "career-minded 25-44 year olds" (whatever that means) and found that in SW18 the average house price was £585,008 in the 12 months to January this year. More than half a million pounds a house - no wonder restaurants are moving in!
