More development planned for the Haslemere Estate

Go Earlsfield has received a press release about more planned development on Earlsfield's industrial estate.

Developer First Base has announced a partnership with Cordea Savills to deliver a £70m residential-led development to transform the Haslemere Industrial Estate into a mix of family homes, apartments and employment space.

First Base and Cordea Savills’ second London Residential Development Fund acquired the freehold interest in the site and is expected to submit a planning application to Merton council this year.

Barry Jessup, director at First Base, said the company had been looking for the right project in which to partner Cordea Savills.

“There is already a shortage of new housing supply in Earlsfield and this is expected to continue,” said James Whidborne, portfolio manager at Cordea Savills. “This transaction is perfectly placed to take advantage of that market dynamic.”

Go Earlsfield would like to know whether there's a commitment to including affordable housing -will keep an eye on any future planning applications.
