New Year travel on South West Trains

Sorry folks, if you'd planned to take the train on a January or February weekend you'd better have a plan B. South West Trains are planning major works on the Wimbledon line which means there are a lot of replacement buses to look forward to.

Here are the key points from SW Trains:

This work will result in the closure of all lines in the Wimbledon area, affecting most South West Trains routes on the following dates:

• 3/4 January 2015
• 10/11 January 2015
• 17/18 January 2015
• 24/25 January 2015
• 31 January/1 February 2015
• 15 February 2015

All suburban routes through Wimbledon will be replaced by buses for some or all of the journey.
