20-storey tower block approved near King George's Park

The council has recently approved a residential tower block on Buckhold Road. The tower, which is a second phase of the nearby Filaments development, will comprise 77 flats and 15,000 square feet of business space as well as shops and restaurants. The development is on the site of the former Army Cadet Force site, which has since been moved to the corner of Buckhold and Broomhill Roads.

Developers Workspace say they will be introducing new pedestrian routes through to Wandsworth High Street as well as a public square and ground-floor cafe.

  1. I have seen this picture and read the entire report. It is unbelievable that such a terrible sight can be built in Wandsworth. There were multiple objections but the final report ignored all of them...... very sad indeed.

  2. I can't believe this is happening. We were told 2 years ago that the site was meant to be a public square and now the horror!
