Free council wifi - but not yet in Earlsfield

Image from Wandsworth Council website
You might have seen the announcement from Wandsworth Council that free wireless internet access is now being rolled out across the borough.

Unfortunately the first phase does not cover Earlsfield. Wifi will be available in Putney, Balham, Wandsworth, Clapham Junction and Tooting town centres, with other areas brought online throughout the year.

The wifi hotspots, which are provided by a private company, can be accessed by connecting to "_WANDSWORTH_FREE" networks. Wandsworth Council and Wandsworth Locallife websites will be free to access with no sign in required. By signing in you can get half an hour of free access a day. If the 30 minutes is up and you still want access you can pay £5 for the rest of the day.
