The search is on for Earlsfield heroes

Wandsworth Council has opened nominations for this year's Wandsworth Civic Awards.

The awards, which are held annually, celebrate people who have made a major contribution to the local area. This could include volunteering, community work, helping neighbours or carrying out an exceptional deed or act of bravery.

Last year's winners included a local orchestra conductor, Neighbourhood Watch volunteer and army cadet instructor.

If you know an unsung hero in Earlsfield, or anywhere in Wandsworth, tell the council before October 11 why you think they deserve to be recognised. Details of how to nominate someone can be found on the council website.
