This Saturday - Mayor of Garratt event

Wandsworth Museum
This Saturday, 25 May, the Wandsworth Museum is hosting a family-friendly event about the historical Mayor of Garratt.

The museum website states:

"In the mid to late 18th Century Earlsfield was the scene for the boisterous Mayor of Garratt elections. Quirky candidates required quick wit and ability to entertain the crowd.

Come along to the museum to create a Major of Garratt costume, go on parade and crown a new Mayor! £3 per participant, accompanying adults are free! For more information please call Zoe or Kathryn on 0208 870 6060 or email bookings@wandsworthmuseum.co.uk."

The museum can be found at 38 West Hill, SW18 1RX.
