Council to extend 20mph speed limit areas

Following a trial in Putney last year, Wandsworth Council has agreed to extend 20mph speed limits to other parts of the borough.

Over the next couple of months, the council will continue to analyse data from the trial areas and will listen to views from the community and local groups as they develop plans for more 20mph areas.

The Wandsworth Guardian reports that Furzedown, Southfields, Bedford wards and the Shaftesbury Estate have also shown interest in having a lower speed limit.
