South West trains are putting in place emergency speed restrictions that will affect services on Monday morning until 9am.
The South West Trains announcement reads:
"Engineers carrying out a routine track inspection have advised us of a
problem on one of the lines through Wimbledon. We will be able to fix
this problem on Monday night.
Trains running on this line will be required to reduce their speed to 5mph through the London side of Wimbledon.
This will reduce some of our capacity tomorrow morning in the peak. The
reduction does mean we will have to cancel and alter some train services
between 0630 and 0900 on Monday 25th March.
This has been arranged to ensure that we provide a fluid service to customers that travel through Wimbledon to London Waterloo."
Keep up to date with the alterations page on the National Rail website and by following South West Trains on Twitter.
