Wildlife crime, forensic science, puppies: Wandsworth Police open day

Wandsworth Police are holding an open day for local people to learn more about their work.

They'll be opening their Battersea station on Sunday 22 September from 10am to 4pm for a chance to see "a wide range of activities including fingerprint taking demonstrations, custody procedures, public order techniques and handling of protective equipment from the Territorial Support Group (TSG). Police horses, dogs and puppies will be on site as well as response cars and the local police mascot “PCSO Maya”. Members of the public will be able to visit various displays dedicated to community safety and crime prevention advice."

  • Speak to officers from the Met’s Wildlife Crime Unit

  • Meet the Safer Parks, Safer Schools & Safer Transport Officers
  • See our Heritage Museum’s photographic exhibition
  • Watch a presentation from our Gangs task force
  • See how our Forensic & other specialist officers work
  • CFC (Chelsea Football Club) Foundation - Football skills for our younger guests
  • Meet the Wandsworth Street Pastors
  • Small disco for children
  • Other presentations/stands from our partner agencies
